Warning to the mothers who put beads on their daughter’s braids…. A pediatrician used to think all the young African-American girls walking around with colorful beads in their hair was — harmless. Not so. A 7-year-old girl fell backwards onto a 2-inch diameter hairball hanging from her braid. She got a dented skull fracture with internal bleeding.
