That's a great piece of history. Some inventions we have no idea where they come from, so thanks for this! Inventors sometimes are known for one or two major inventions, while all the other little things they made, no matter how useful, are simply taken for granted. We know Franklin invented the lightbulb, but the gas mask has saved lives! We should learn more about these less well-know inventors.

You really don't have to pack them. It doesn't help anything, and only young smokers do it - you never see an older person doing it. But if you must, before you open a pack, hold the pack upside down and tap the top of the pack on a hard surface about ten times.

Yes, that may be true wearing headwraps to their hair wouldn't get dirty. But there was also a shame the
woman had of their hair. The white folks looked at their hair with such contempt, sisters covered up.
Sisters were made to see their hair as ugly. The premise still exists today. - Karen

Yes, Joy, I understand where you are coming from about your relaxed hair. But do you really know
the texture of your beautiful God-given hair? Are do you run and put the crack cream on your roots when
that all-powerful kink starts pushing through your scalp? You are allowing your hair to succumb to
a form of slavery (code for brainwashing).

I would say this website is beyond ridicoulous, but every one is entiled to their own opinion and has the right to speak their mind. Just as everyone has the right to do with their hair as they PLEASE. Choosing straight hair does not make any one fake or fraud. Its just their prefference. I do not have extentions but my hair is relaxed. So now im fake i guess lol. Its not that big of a deal its just hair. Hair does not make or break our culture.
