Women Drops Dead Due To Hair Extension Glue

A woman died possibly from massive allergic
reaction from glue that is applied to her hair'
extensions. She collasped after clubbing one
night. The woman had worn hair extensions for
14 years.

The pathologist examining her body said the latex
glue could have seeped into her scalp while she
was sweating on the dance floor and she had
an allergic reaction.

Georgia apartments Barbie dolls with an Afro.
They didn't purchase the dolls this way -- first they
had to give the dolls a hair makeover using pipe cleaners,
end papers, and boiling water to kink-i-fy the
manufactured straight hair. This was an affirmation
to love your God-given hair.

Sisters have no idea about their real, reach-to-the-sky, sun-seeking hair. They keep their hair on the DL -- hidden under scarves, relaxers, weaves, and wigs.

Bottom line, Black women have low self-esteem, buying into the con game that straight hair is better. Why have we become the followers of what is beautiful hair instead of taking the lead of our ancient ancestors?

No other race has kinky hair like we do. It's a gift!

Our hair is to be treasured.

We need to embrace our coiled wonder. It's a wonder because nobody else has our texture. Love our coil hair like a newborn baby. Let's get back to nature-ness.

natural hair?

We do everything to our hair except wear
our hair with pride. How can you love yourself
and hate your hair? It's not possible.

Many Black women have not worn their
natural kinky hair for any reasonable
period of time to form a relationship
with their hair.

I know one sister with semi-permed hair
(code for the kinks were taking over)
that slicked her hair back as best as she
could and slapped a shiny, straight-textured,
no-match ponytail on the back of her head.
Talk about ridiculous. But it gets worse.
Girlfriend sleeps with ponytail attached tied
down with a night scarf.

Clearly, sister-friend has serious issues about
her hair and her identity...and the sad thing
about it; she's not alone in her confusion.

of African American woman sampled avoided exercising
due to putting their air in disarray mode.

Many Sisters choose hair over exercise.

Kohl's department store had to remove this costume wig
for sale from their shelves this past Halloween season.
It was called The "Ghetto Fab Wig."

Folks were complaining it was racist. The implication
that an afro is ghetto. Code for low class, broke down,
hood. An afro is natural and beautiful.

Maybe they should have sold this wig and and called it
"Dog Hair Fab Wig." It would have had the same derogoratory
connotation.

females into modern day slaves throughout Newark & East Orange, NJ
Hair Braiding Salons. He had the females works at the salons for no pay!

The sisters were subjected to beatings, sexual abuse, and psychological
torture. His ex wife was in it on to and she due for sentencing this September
and his son also involved got 55 months in prison.

Lassissi also was ordered to pay the victims $3.9 million in restitution.

8-Year Old Removed from Class Because of Olive Oil Smell in Her Hair

What is the real reason for the Seattle-based
child's removal from her elementary honors class?
Do you smell hidden racism? An 8-year-old biracial
girl (white mom) was kicked out of her honors class
because the teacher complained of the smell of the
young girl's hair.

The Organic Root Stimulator hair product contains
olive oil. The teacher complained the olive oil scent
was making her sick. The young girl was the only Black
student in the honors class. She was switched to a lower
academic achieving class where there were other Black
students. Her dad has taken his daughter out of school
and will not let her return until the teacher can prove
with medical evidence that the olive oil hair product is
to blame for her nausea. And the NAACP has gotten
involved.

Teacher Chops Off 1st Grader's Braid

Can you believe it? Back in mid-December,
a Milwaukee teacher cut off the front braid of
first grader Lamya Cammon. The teacher
claimed Lamya was making too much noise
playing with her beaded braids.

The malicious teacher calls her up to her desk,
tricks her in to asking if she wants candy;
and then takes a scissors and chops off
half Lamya's braid and throws it in the wastepaper
basket.

The class laughs and embarrassed Lamya
goes back to her desk and cries.

The teacher was fined $175 for disorderly
conduct and currently the Milwaukee Public
School District is going through a disciplinary
process with the teacher.

Somebody should cut one side of the teacher's
hair -- and show her what it feels like.

Lamya is now in another teacher's class.
