Locs in Amtrak Ad
This photo was in a recent Amtrak ad that appeared in Essence.

has a discussion on whether the model is wearing fake or real
locs. Or perhaps she has added extensions to her natural locs.
No matter, it is rare to see a loc sister in any major corporate ad.
Some folks were lov'in it and others were not impressed.

light colored hair, small uniform locs. very long. natural or not, it still conforms to the long light colored flowing hair aesthetic

the lighter skinned sister on a higher pedestal than a Gabrielle Union-type.

Whether she is light or dark has nothing to do with it and to say she has extensions just because her locs are long is just ludicrous. Sistahs hair is fierce!!!

Does it really matter if her locs are real or not? It's nice to see locs featured in an ad from a company that caters to the more corporate crowd. It's just showing that slowly (but surely) sistas are having more freedom with their hair in the business setting.
